North American solar uses a range of solar panels. There are choices in technology and in manufacturers. We focus our installations on the most common and stable technology on the market. We pride ourselves on educating our customers on immerging technologies. We consistently research & maintain close relationships with our venders & new suppliers on the market. Today Poly & Mono-crystalline technologies are the most reliable, most tested, & best performing on the market.
Many solar panels on the market today are very similar in look, efficiency, & cost per watt. There are a few minor exceptions. Because of that, we believe it is best to offer multiple solar panels as options to our customers. We believe the extra effort we put into education & not just selling one product will aid our customers. We will always give you reliable, knowledgeable, & honest feedback on all products, if you have a preference, and the panel fits our criteria, Clean Solar will be happy to install the crystalline panel of your choice. We continue to test new products and are always ready to adapt and evolve as the best in the industry.
Inverters
An inverter is the component in the system that takes the DC power generated by solar panels and converts it to AC power that all spaces can utilize. North American Solar only installs premium inverters for all of our customers. We feel the inverter is the most important component choice you will make. North American Solar has chosen to work with primarily SMA: We believe they have the best reliability & customer service standings in the industry. If you have a preference, and the inverter fits our criteria, we will be happy to install the one of your choice.
System Monitoring
Solar power monitoring systems are used to observe how your system is performing. By looking at real-time and historical data we can make certain that the system is running at peak efficiency. A drastic change in data will alert us if it is not, allowing us to immediately focus our attention on any potential problems and make sure you are receiving maximum energy output. Additional costs apply, but the worth of consistent performance and peace of mind is invaluable.
There are many monitoring options. If you choose a 3rd party monitoring device (fatspaniel or the like) , they typically bundle 5 years of service into initial price. After 5 years, a monthly fee is incurred to continue operation.
A more economical way is to utilize monitoring devices manufactured by the inverter companies. Typically no monthly bundling (Sunny Web Box from SMA is an example).
